Cheese and Pinkie knew who they were and knew how much they were meant to be together. The party pony frenemies became the party pony duo.

Twilight snuck another cream puff in her mouth as Cheese and Pinkie began to dance their first dance. She couldn’t be happier for the pair. Pinkie was the first of the six of them to get hitched besides Twilight herself and it was a big deal. Rainbow Dash was Mare of Honor, donned in her Wonderbolts uniform and Maud was the Best Mare. Twilight and the other three were bridesmaids. Twilight watched on as Spike swayed to the music next to her, watching Rarity with a smile. Twilight chuckled quietly, knowing of Spike’s heart. Rarity, meanwhile, had taken up a dance with one of Cheese’s groomsmen, Thunderlane, and was twirling around the room with him, a little tipsy, but laughing joyously. Fluttershy, Discord, and Tree Hugger sat at their table near the front, all sipping on tea and talking low amongst themselves. Applejack had taken up conversation with Spitfire and Rainbow Dash. Spitfire looked like all she wanted to do was get away and talk to somepony else.

Twilight decided she would end the pain in Spitfire’s eyes and walked over, hearing Applejack’s last words. “-so don’t tell me RD here can beat me, cause we both know it ain’t true.” Applejack turned as Twilight entered the conversation. “Hey there Twi, what creampuff are you on now?” AJ chuckled at her own joke, but Twilight sarcastically rolled her eyes in response.

“It’s called pregnancy AJ, it makes a mare hungry.” Twilight placed a hoof on Applejack’s leg, sighing. “This’ll be you soon.” Twi winked and Applejack leaned back, looking startled. Twilight chose this moment to free Spitfire. “Hey, Spitfire, I think someone was over there looking for you.”

Spitfire, who had been zoned out, suddenly came back to the world her body was in and looked over at Twilight, her usual furrowed brow gone. “Sorry?” she cleared her throat and spoke.

Applejack turned away for a second, saying something to Rainbow, so Twilight simply widened her eyes and jerked her head in the direction Spitfire had been staring. Spitfire’s face melted from confused into downright praise.

“Thank you,” Spitfire whispered, rushing off behind Twilight.

Twilight laughed as Applejack turned back to her. “Aw, too bad. Spitfire there won’t be able to hear how I beat RD that one year at the Fall Run. Whoowee, that was a rough year, too.” Applejack laughed.

Twilight hadn’t noticed until her attention was no longer on Spitfire, but Rainbow Dash looked equally as distracted. Applejack looked to be starting a new story, so Twilight stopped her before she could. “Um, Applejack? Is somebody supposed to be putting chocolate in the Applesauce fountain?”

Applejack’s face went white and she ran off to the food table to probably tear someone’s spine out.

Finally it was just Twilight with Rainbow Dash.

“Okay, so I sent off Spitfire to do whatever it is she wanted to do-” Twilight turned to see Spitfire looking like she was about to spontaneously combust as she spoke to Maud Pie. “-with that. Now what’s your issue? You look like somebody just kicked Tank.”

Rainbow screwed her face into one that looked like she had just eaten a lemon before releasing her expression and sighing. “I just…” Rainbow tore her gaze away from Twilight and over to Pinkie and Cheese, dancing and smiling in the middle of the room.

Twilight realized.

“I thought you had gotten over her when they started dating, Rainbow.” Twilight spoke quietly, placing a hoof on RD’s shoulder.

“I did.” Rainbow Dash insisted, though Twilight could tell it was false. “I just don’t know if I can be here right now.” she croaked out the last part and stepped back, walking out from under the tent cover and out into the forest surrounding them.
