How do I describe Pristine nicely?

As a kid, Pris had an accident in class and peed herself in front of her peers. From then on, the older kids of Ponyville teased her and called her Pistine Asshole/Piss baby. In fact, all of her past bullies still live in Ponyville so they still tease her if they run into her in public. Her parents tried to get help her and show affection and at home, Pristine was a little quiet but okay. Pristine suffered from the bullying in silence and even now tries to avoid the topic of her school days. She’s currently a snarky cashier at Ponyville’s grocery store Blah-Blahs [ha-ha a play on the Canadian store Loblaws…I’m so clever…] but her special talent is working with aggressive animals.

I know the question will come up so here we go. “Did her family not see the shift in personality?” In all honesty, no. Pris has always been a closed-off kid. She lived in Canterlot for a short time while her fathers closed some of their businesses before moving back to Ponyville. She was kind of ostracized there as well and her silence was misconstrued as a mix of her being socially awkward, shy, and a social pariah in Canterlot. And of course, a healthy splash of puberty. None of these assumptions were wrong, they were just unaware that the bullying continued after her return to Ponyville.

This is all a nice precursor to explaining the raging alpha bitch she became.

Pristine is no longer a shy depressed wallflower and is now a cynical, verbally abusive, and wrathful mare who occasionally has bouts of generosity, kindness, and good advice. But mostly she’s angry.

In spite of her abrasive vitriol with anyone who gets on her nerves, she’s pretty ok with her family.

She also has a total of two friends and two kids she tolerates begrudgingly. Aurora Toile and Pris take lunch breaks together and talk shit about other people. Aurora looks up to Pristine as a sass mentor and Pristine likes her attitude as well as Aurora being her BFF’s cousin. Discord and Rarity’s son Misanthropy has been her BFF since an early age, though Mister never attended her school and they only became closer after the fact moving into adulthood.

The two kids she tolerates are Thistle Trill and Pixie. She once found them tied up in a bear trap deep in Everfree. She thinks they’re idiots but she has this sense that without some guidance she’ll be fishing those two out of a river someday. So, she listens to their hair-brained schemes and actually gives some good advice while not totally pushing them away from spreading chaos. Just petty crimes, she doesn’t want to be an accomplice to their stupidity.
