When a family loses one parent, it doesn’t mean it will never be completed. Meet Clear Sky, a single mother who finds love again through Daring Do fan, Quibble Pants.

It is unknown what happened to Clear Sky’s husband, but for a time, she had to raise her daughter, Wind Sprint, on her own. Eventually, she met Quibble Pants, and in time, they soon became girlfriend and boyfriend. However, despite the love they shared, Wind Sprint, disapproved on their relationship, fearing that her mother’s new beau could replace her athlete birth father and due to the fact that Quibble is very non-athletic and didn’t know anything about sports (and she had no interest in Daring Do or reading books). It wouldn’t be easy for Quibble to win Wind’s approval.

Quibble Pants, Clear Sky, and Wind Sprint attended a buckball tournament in Appleloosa, where he was reunited with his friend and fellow Daring Do fan, Rainbow Dash. After he explained his situation to her, Rainbow agreed to help Quibble look like a sporty pony. Despite Clear Sky reassuring him that he didn’t need to try so hard to get Wind Sprint to like him, Quibble started to lose hope. Rainbow Dash tried to help him bring out his sporty side, but with barely a chance of success. With one last idea to “sportify” Quibble Pants, she arranged for him, Clear Sky, and Wind Sprint to play an exhibition buckball match against the Ponyville team during the tournament’s halftime show (Pinkie and Fluttershy agreed to make him look good). Unfortunately, he embarrassed himself badly with his ineptitude, prompting an exasperated Wind to storm off the field. Clear Sky also got frustrated with Quibble after she told him to stop trying so hard, and as she also leaves, she told him that she and Quibble had to “rethink all of this.” Later, as Rainbow Dash tried to give him some more ideas to turn him into a sporty pony, Quibble refused and gave up, convinced that Wind Sprint would never like him no matter what he did. And, after the last thing Clear Sky said to him before she left, Quibble believed she was going to break up with him. Deciding to abandon their previous plans, Rainbow Dash suggested that Quibble should go to somepony else to teach him about sports. Meanwhile, Wind Sprint expressed to Clear Sky that no matter how much she liked him or how many ponies care about him, he was never going to replace her real father. Clear Sky assured Wind that Quibble was not trying to make her stop loving her real dad; he just wanted her to like him. Then, Quibble apologized to Wind for pretending to be good at sports and trying so hard to make her like him. He asked if they could start over and for Wind to teach him about sports while they watched the tournament together. Wind agreed. During the next game, Wind Sprint taught Quibble the rules of buckball, and Quibble taught her about the Ponyville team’s plays using a buckball almanac he gave her earlier. Quibble told Clear Sky that if she still wanted to break up with him, he was fine with it, but Clear Sky said she didn’t want to break up, with Quibble having misinterpreted her words from earlier. Quibble finally made a connection with Wind Sprint, and it seems that there will be a new happy family.

I admit I had some complications on what the interaction was going to be like for Quibble Pants and Clear Sky. While working on a couple of poses, I thought that I could have them pose like this. I was planning on including Wind Sprint, but then I changed my mind thinking she was unnecessary. If you disagree let me know, and I’ll include her into the mix. And if you don’t like the romantic poses I made for Quibble and Clear Sky let me know on that too, and I’ll see what I can do.
