Before you agree to take the Philosopher's Stone, you ask Queen Maelstrom how to avoid its corruption.
Queen Maelstrom: "Of course. Though I fail to understand it fully myself, this cursed jewel seems to be bound by magic. So long as you carry it with you, casting spells will draw from its power. As such, you must be careful to refrain from using magic, so as to remain pure.
In any case, you must know that while in your possession, the stone cannot be taken from you, unless given up by your own free will. And so, I trust with all of my heart that my faith in you is not misplaced."
You get Philosopher's Stone! You can feel infinite potential coursing beneath its cracked surface.
As you accept the stone from Queen Maelstrom's hooves, the red glow fades from her eyes, and the giant whirlpool above begins to calm down. Within seconds, the funnel vanishes completely, leaving the artifact as your only source of light.
Taking a closer look at it, you notice that the orb is formed of countless broken shards put together, with a few pieces still missing. You ask the siren queen if there is anything she knows on how to destroy it for good.
Queen Maelstrom: "I am afraid not. Still, in his great wisdom, the King of the Sea, Midgardsormr, once said that magic cannot dissipate outside of its own realm. It is my belief that the Stone's dark magic does not belong in this world, and that it must first be returned to its own."
Furia Storm: "Mmph. And here I thought that that kid's story of a giant world tree sounded ridiculous. That's where you're headed, though, isn't it?"
You say that it is, and that you will take the Stone there. Then, you ask the sirens about what they will do next. Furia Storm hesitates, then looks over to Queen Maelstrom.
Queen Maelstrom: "As much as it pains me that these old ruins are all there is left of what we once called home, we may yet have the tools to rebuild. I can feel my people slumbering, awaiting to be freed. We must find them.
Furia, we should make for Equestria together on the morrow. Perhaps if you introduced me to this pony captain you've so nobly helped, then in turn, your deeds would aid us to find allies in our endeavor."
Furia Storm: "Yes, my queen. So... I guess this is it, then, huh?"
You nod, and tell Furia Storm that you hope to meet again someday, and not to forget her care package. She cracks an amused smile at that.
Furia Storm: "Right. You're always thinking about others, aren't you?"
You give 4 Filly Guide Cookies, Filtering Bottle, Glow Stick, Lemon Bath Bomb, Scroll of Identification, Small Waterproof Stuffed Dolphin Toy, and Toothbrush to Furia Storm.
Furia Storm: "Well, thanks. For everything, I mean. You've shown us that ponies aren't all that bad, after all."
Once you've bid farewell to the sirens, Furia Storm helps you swim up to the surface, then dives back into the depths of the ocean.
Furia Storm leaves your party.
