In all my verses Sunset and Sunburst are siblings!
Sunset is older by 5 years and growing up they were very close until Sunset left for magic school
Not long after Sunburst also left for magic school was Sunset declared dead
Princess Celestia didn’t want anyone knowing about the portal and just informed everyone Sunset had perished, unfortunately it tore the family apart and a big reason as to why Sunburst flopped out
Much later the two finally reunite and it’s a teary mess of a reunion
