Siblings: Rareness (younger sister)
Short bio: Matthew was born a weak pegasus. Rarity was afraid that he would not live long. To maintain his life took a lot of drugs and resources. He had poor eyesight due to which he had to wear glasses.
At school, he was often laughed at because of the "four eyes" and weakness. But he was friends with Gentle Cream, Abaddon and Shimmer Sparkle. They remained best friends for life.
When Matthew grew up a little, Thunderlane took him on a small trip around the country. There Matthew was able to get a little sportier and get his mark.
When he became an adult, he began to train recruits in wonderbolt along with Cold Fire.*
