Part 25/78 of my Tarot Ponies series, tonight I was inspired to draw 'The Devil'. The first of my tarot series to feature a canon character, I felt that Sunset Shimmer represented The Devil very well. The card represents someone who feels trapped by the negativity of their past, leaving them feeling helpless and victimized. The devil card is a sign that things are out of control, and inspires us to regain it to turn our energies to something positive. Sunset Shimmer has done exactly that, and was redeemed and turned to the path of good, despite her past of controlling others through manipulation and fear. She represents redemption, which is how I choose to interpret this card. My first time drawing Shimmy, and boy was she fun to draw in her various forms!
