Lucky Star and Midnight’s Kiss are a newer couple here. They’re still finding their wings (h a h a h a Lucky has no wings) but they’re pretty solid even though they’re very, very different ponies with completely different personalities and backgrounds. Lucky Star is a Ponyville born engineer with a famous sports mom and a wacky go-lucky mama, while Midnight’s Kiss is from a long line of pure blood, dark batponies from Japony. Lucky Star is kind of messy and not the most organized while Midnight's Kiss is cleanliness personified.
They’re um. A strange couple indeed.
They met at one of Pinkie Pie’s fundraisers and have had eyes for each other since. Well, more like Lucky Star had her's on him since Midnight didn’t pay much mind to her at first. The pegasus had to go away to her job soon and knew if she at least didn’t let this gorgeous, bombastic stallion of a pony know how she felt (no matter how undignified) she would regret it. She did regret it because she unceremoniously dropped a strawberry sizzle smoothie on his hooves but to her shock he said yes to her proposal to “go out fo’ a hot minute”.
Lucky Star is pretty smarmy (like Doctor Bashir from Star Trek or Sonic the Hedgehog, whatever your poison) and is proud as heck to have snagged Midnight - she doesn’t let some ponies cough Sid cough forget. Pegasus are known for fluffing up for various reasons but in situations where they’re feeling a deep connection and a weeeee bit of possession they rub their shoulders, nose and forehead (and sometimes butt) against whatever they’re heart desires.
Midnight’s like “omg staaaaahp” because pegasus are kind of weird, especially ones from completely different country. But they groom each other often (not really a big batpony thing, but hey - free bug meal!) and that’s what Midnight is doing here before Poetic Justice walked in and Lucky goes “i’m makin’ out with you cousin and rubbed my ass all over him lol”.’
I like the idea that anytime a pegasus has a high energy moment they release whatever element they’re aligned with in little electrical bolts (thank u Lopoddity for this I just had to yoink it). Lucky’s vapor trails were orange before she lost her wings.
Don’t worry, Midnight is fine. He never has a hair out of place except the one.
Anyways, we haven't seen Lucky Star or Midnight’s Kiss in forever! The former is the eldest daughter of Derpy Hooves and Rainbow Dash, and the latter is an OC with OC parents. Lucky Star had a huuuge overhaul in terms of her colors. I wanted to make her look more like RD but keep the beach-y vibe since she lives and breathes the ocean.She was given more bold colors too since she is a pegasus and most have them have bright colors! Sid probably used to call her fish breath as kids since she reminds a lot of ponies of a fish with her markings. Midnight didn’t change at all since I’ve always been pleased with his design.
Not sure if they’re still together currently or not but only time will tell so for now it’s up to you, watchers.

Lucky couldn’t speak Japonese but is learning. Kinda. She's a genius but pretty bad at picking up languages.
