AE: And, the filly in the beret and moustache? This signifies…?

SE: Oh, well, you see, this particular filly. She’s connected with the Elements of Harmony in some way, something to do with crusading and Rainbow Dash. I dunno, I haven’t caught up on all the episodes yet. I’m more of an Equestria Girls fan in any case…but whatever. Scootaloo has kinda become associated with chickens by humans and the rooster is the French national bird.

AE: Ohhh-kay. So it’s a visual pun?

SE: Exactly.

AE: So, run it by me again? Why do they think she’s a chicken? Does she sound like one? Is she especially scared of everything, or something? Can she not fly?
