It was only a chance, the blue dragoness realised as the blush crept onto her cheeks.

A chance meeting, that just as well could have instead had them passing one another without a second glance, like ships in the night.

But providence had smiled upon Avalanche at last, placing her into the perfect location at the perfect time.

For many years, she had been walking this land alone, ever since her mother’s passing. Her breathing hitched as she remembered the face of the elder dragoness that had raised her as long as she was able, despite the strange degenerative illness that slowly, and incrementally drained the life from her over the course of decades.

Shaking her head as if to rid her mind of the still bitterly fresh thoughts of her mother, if only for a while, she instead focused on the stallion who was standing before her, his bright green eyes focused on her as she looked back.

Damn, he’s a looker, Avalanche thought to herself as her eyes slipped over his form, her slight blush intensifying with every moment.

A well-built orange pegasus stallion stood in front of her, with kind but intelligent green eyes that seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. He had a short mane that was fiery in aspect, three colours making it up, the same colours being repeated in his full, long tail.

He smiled at her, the gentle grin giving her goosebumps in between her tiny scales, and a pleasant warmth inside her chest.

She had never felt the rush of attraction to any creature before, but she was no fool, for she recognised it immediately. Just like her mother had described it, Avalanche thought as she smiled back at the unknown stallion.

She raised her claw and curled it into a fist, in the common pony “hoofbump” custom, and watched as he made to do the same.

“My name is Avalanche, but you may call me Ava- might I ask the name of the gentlestallion standing before me?

Hey everyone!

As you all know, I’ve been having an awful time of it recently, and life has been incredibly difficult for me. I cannot rest or keep myself away from doing art at present, so I thought that I might as well just force my way through it through sheer bloody-mindedness. Time is still short, and life is still rough, but I feel at least a little better for just getting one of my more major projects done.

Speaking of which, here’s a little something I put together for a dear friend, amazingangus76 who owns the orange stallion in the foreground.

I may not technically do requests anymore, but this was a piece that was overdue, and to Angus, I apologise for the delay in getting this done, and I hope that you like what I’ve put together for you! As an additional file, I have created a cutie mark png file for Asteroid Angus, and I can email that to you if you ever require it.

Firstly, I did initially use a female pattern of base to represent Asteroid Angus, but I was frankly unhappy with how it had come out, and decided to use a little creative license by using a stallion base, and slightly adjusted his colours so that they would fit with the more pastel themes I work best with.

Additionally, in order to fill out the background, I’ve added in a bunch of my OCs that could feasibly be found in Ponyville- where Avalanche is currently living. I added Fluttershy and Rarity in as well, both base edits that I completed in the past as parts of separate projects.

The little bit of story has been tailored to fit your request, and can be considered non-canon, as with regards to my AU.
