I really am wondering about exactly how intelligent and competent they would be in this situation. A ragtag bunch of scallywags and their crummy sailing ship against an all steel warship with an actual trained crew. Would they avoid a naval vessel or would their greed get the better of them and engage said naval vessel.
I mean were talking 18th century pirates against 20th century naval vessels.
