Bet you didn't expect me to post again. It has been almost 5 years since last time after all.

But I'm not planning on staying either, so it's a bittersweet return. I wanted to post some crumbs I've been working on over the years, just to share how my journey has turned out so far. Then vanish again, perhaps to return again later in a similar fashion.

Here's my personal character debut of what I think "Blasphemyrose" would look like. A tall, gentle earth pony with a freak affinity for written magic, ancient tomes and incantations. Her body is enveloped in dark magenta skin. From her head flows long platinum-rosa hair with enchanting, teal accents. Her eyes can seem piercing at first, but only for a moment. Her soft demeanor is fast to lessen any worry that would come from locking gazes with her.

What could she be?

A devious trickster temptress wielding the dark arts for inscrutable purposes, acting in the shadows with dubious motives?

Or a well-meaning artisan who tapped into otherworldly sources in order to help those in need with new measures and remedies previously thought impossible?

Where does such an individual fit into a modern world? Is there good reason for holding assumptions against someone with such a name? And in what way does this blasphemy manifest?
There will be no easy conclusions.

About:

Blasphemy Rose, or Jess Bellaphemeront Rose, tends to an antique trinket shop she inherited from her vanished grandparents. The same grandparents it is believed her abilities originated from. She is actively in search of answers for their sudden disappearance, aided by her cousin Delphi Nightshade, who frequently lends a hand in the shop.

Be it from deciphering trinkets, translating ancient texts or traveling to archeological sites and ruins, she will go the distance. Any trace that might hold clues about her ancestors' shrouded heritage and customs is duly noted and archived. Aside from bartering and traveling, she also performs unconventional magic as a service for those who seek extraordinary help. But she keeps it at a low profile in order to not cause any unwanted attention. This is how she funds her search, aside from living expenses.

She shares a large apartment together with 3 other roommates. The apartment has separate bedrooms, but a shared kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom. Her friends know of her abilities all too well and often get into crazy antics together just for fun or thrills.

She is called Rose by her friends. Her cousin calls her Jess.
