Spike, the loyal assistant to Twilight, was hatched and raised by her. He acts childlike (about 10) sometimes, but most of the time is the voice of reason for when others have lost their head. He has a fiery temper (ba-dum tss) and can be a little greedy. From what Ive seen, he fits into the description of a common European dragon.

By the way, if you care, the text on his scroll is written in Anglo-Saxon Runes, otherwise known as Dragon Script, which is what I think the ponies use. Not going to tell you what it says, but it does say something. :3
