Personality

Daughter of Big Macintosh and Caramel, Apple Tart is a sweet, friendly mare with strength rivaling her father’s. Apple Tart’s special talent revolves around baking apple-based sweets and treats, taking inspiration from both of her parents’ backgrounds. Apple Tart is an honest, hardworking mare like her aunt Applejack, but tends to work herself too hard sometimes and neglect her own health for the sake of finishing a project or job. Apple Tart needed some time getting used to her immense strength so she didn’t accidentally shatter all of the plates on the Apple homestead but has learned to better harness it to buck apple trees (even if she would rather be baking).

Relationships

Growing up in the Apple household, Apple Tart quickly learned the importance of spending time with family and making sure to make time for them whenever possible. As such, she grew up spending a lot of time around her cousins and grew to treat them like her siblings. Apple Tart has a good relationship with both of her fathers and cares about them deeply, even if she felt they sheltered her too much as a young filly. Apple Tart is close to her cousin Aurora Golden Gala, even if she kind of resents Aurora for not having to work on the farm. Apple Tart is good friends with Thunderwing; their mellow personalities tend to mesh well together, given that neither of them is particularly high-strung. Thunderwing is somewhat less energetic than Apple Tart, but he shares her drive to work hard no matter what. Apple Tart wouldn’t admit it, but she has a bit of a crush on Stella – she appreciates the princess’s humility and how she isn’t afraid to humble herself when she needs to. However, Apple Tart has resigned herself to the thought that Stella will never notice her and spends most of her time simply working on the farm – hopefully this will change soon with a visit from Stella to Ponyville, though.

Extras

Apple Tart is surprisingly gentle for her size and is very good with animals (some of which she learned from Fluttershy). If her special talent wasn’t baking, it would probably be taking care of the animals on the farm. Apple Tart has secretly taken in interest in baking pear treats and desserts from other fruits – while Big Mac isn’t very happy about this, Caramel encourages his daughter to try new things (and can get Big Mac to try what she makes, which doesn’t take a lot of needling on his part).
