Babs Seed, a filly from Manehatten, had been enrolled in the special talent initiative along with other fillies and colts across Equestria once the project proved a success. When the starting students in the initiative showed massive improvement when placed in an environment that allowed their talents to flourish, Bab’s Parents had jumped at the chance. While Babs wasn’t as interested in moving once again, having to make new friends as she had just made some in her home city, She found herself at least looking forward to proving herself in her talent’ field.

When she had moved to Canterlot, she was introduced to Zephyr Breeze, a stallion that had just started getting comfortable with one brat under his wing; now he had to have another twerp under his supervision? This one seemed to have a bit of an attitude too. Unlike Snips. With a cautious eye, Zephyr began to watch over not only Snips, but also Babs Seed, just trying to keep his job.

As Babs seemed to be staying, just as snips, she began to bring her personality into the shop. She was surprisingly good with customers, talking to them about things in their lives along with her own. She was a breath of fresh air in the shop. Sure she got a bit snippy with Zephyr when he was trying to “teach” her, but overall, she started to feel at home in this new place.

She started to find a friend in her coworker and fellow trainee, Snips. She had known him while visiting Ponyville to see her cousin, but hadn’t truly met him like this. While she was getting along with Snips, she couldn’t help but start seeing a bit of herself in Snips. The self doubt, the bullying from their new classmates when they would meet up, and so on. Even though the two were brought under the wing of Zephyr, Babs had taken Snips under hers as she taught him the importance of self-love and standing up for one’s self. While this was a bit of tough love from her, often stating her opinion out of no where in the form of rants, she meant well.

While Zephyr was a shoulder to support Snips, Babs was the insight that Snips needed to move forward with himself, understanding that he shouldn’t be a doormat for other ponies to step all over. The two began to grow together, being each other’s support with both their personal lives and careers. Snips soon began to partake in some well deserved self-care, growing up to be the true stallion those around him believe he could be, spiting those who doubted his growth.

As Babs and Snips grew in their talents, making money from client after client, rough day after rough day, the two decided it was time to move on in their lives. It was time to take a large step in their lives and save for a salon/barber shop of their own. With the name “A Sharp Cut” being their tag line. The two moved on to bigger and better things, using each other as friends to support one another. Teaching other fillies and colts like they once were.

The next chapter in the lives of Snips, Zephyr, and now, Babs!

I love the idea of the two being best of friends. Not Romantic, but they trust in each other and bring each other up in their lives. They’re small business owners! The Strong toned Manehattenite, and the softy from Ponyville!
