I’m often disappointed by how the EG films sort of not tie in with some of the dolls. An example would be the first EG dolls where they wear nothing like the ones in the movie, in Friendship Games they feel rushed and the school spirit series of dolls are great but film they seemed pointless. In Legend of Everfree, the ‘fashion show’ part is quite pointless as you could think of it. Twilight and Sunset are included in the line but they aren’t seen wearing them in the movie. I was expecting the outfits to have a minor role like in other toy media centered around fashion, since the success of the show was making more of an actual series instead a tie in to the toys, but they have to balance things out of being a series or movie while showing us the reason why these characters wore these clothes. Also, i’m not always satisfied by how few barbie movies, the character has their hair up while the doll has their hair down, am i the only one bothered by that?As for the art, it took me almost an hour and a half to work with since i have to use more colors for the lining instead of just black. I do find it pleasing to look at and it was worth trying some upgrades, i just need the patience to go with it. Also i choose for a grey background so that it has that look of something like an ‘animation model test’ or anything related to that instead of my usual white simple backgrounds.Overall i’m glad on making this, and i looked for myself in the future to make more art like this. Maybe i’ll do the shadowbolts in their sports clothes but with the color of their doll’s sporty style clothes as their AU sports clothes.
