Starlight sat nervously alone at one of the tables; looking around for wherever Trixie may have gone to. She said she’d be right back, but it’s been what….half an hour? Longer? Starlight looked at the questionable food on the table. It was…different from what she normally ate. But the Changelings gobbled it down, so it can’t be so bad. She forced a smile as she hesitantly reached for something, until she saw a familiar blue unicorn trotting into her view. Starlight let out a quick sigh of relief and raised her hoof up to get Trixie’s attention.

Starlight: “Trixie! There you are! I was worried you’d miss the potluck==-”

Starlight narrowed her eyes once Trixie sat down next to her. Trixie looked pale, almost nervous and her mane was a mess. She had a slight pink color on her face…blushing maybe? With…bite marks?

Starlight: “Trixie….are those bite mar-==”

Trixie: “BUG BITES!” Trixie quickly announced. “I mean, what else would they be?” She waved her hoof in the air like she was dismissing anything else they could possibly be. “This entire ‘kingdom’, if you can even call it that, is swarming with all kinds of nasty, crawling, disgusting, biting bugs!”

A group of Changelings looked over at Trixie when she made her announcement.

Trixie: “Oh! Not you all….of course…heh.” She made an awkward chuckle, but the Changelings only exchanged glances with another before moving to a different table.

Starlight: “Just bug bites? Because they look too big to be==-”

Trixie: “Enough of this! We are here for a potluck, right!?” Trixie quickly scooped something up with her hoof and shoved it in her mouth.

Ugh…it was bitter…sour…slimy….with all kinds of weird chunks….and oh! Yep. There was a mystery crunch.

Trixie was going to vomit, but not wanting to lose her composure and continue on this awkward conversation, she just tried to ignore the disgusting taste in her mouth and spoke.

Trixie: “D-delicious…”

Starlight: “Really? Well if you like it that much, I bet Thorax would be happy to let you take some home!” Starlight happily chimed in as she looked over the food, though still not daring to try anything yet.==

Thorax: “Pharynx! You came for the potluck!” Thorax happily welcomed his brother.

Pharynx: “Nah, I already had a bite.” He smirked.
