Cadence walked quickly down the hall, sweating nervously and glancing around with fear. She bit her bottom lip, and tried to calm herself down, as she realized she was walking much to fast and looking around in a suspicious way too often. As she rounded the corner, she let out a terrified squeak at the sight of two guards. They turned to her in surprise. “Princess Cadence? Are you alright?” One asked with concern. “You don’t look too good. You’re very red.” The other one added. This caused Cadence to sweat even more. “No er um it’s fine, I’m fine! Just uh, carry on with your day!” “But it’s the middle of the night.” A guard corrected. “Yes that. That’s what I meant.” Cadence chuckled nervously, and quickly past the guards so quickly she broke into a steady trot. Once she was out of the guards line of sight, she approached a door and released a breath she didn’t know she had been holding. She checked to make sure no one was following her before entering. The room was empty, so she quickly made her way over to a bookshelf in the corner. Without hesitation, she pulled a book forward, which triggered the opening of a secret door. She had done this for many months, and though everything was becoming a force of habit, the fear of being caught never left her. She closed the door behind her as she entered the entrance to the trap door. It was very dark, so she ignited her horn to light her way with a soft blue glow. She was more relaxed now, as she new she was in the clear, and very few knew about the secret entrance, so the chances of her being caught were very slim. Those who did know about it knew it was to only be used for emergencies in case the castle was ever under attack. Cadence continued to walk down the dark hall until it widened, and doors were on all sides. It was much lighter now, as there was a few windows letting in dim moonlight. Standing in front of her was the embodiment of evil itself, King Sombra. But Cadence wasn’t afraid. She walked towards him and stared him directly in the eye. She then kissed him, and he returned it, and they kissed as lovers who had not seen each other for what seemed to be an eternity would. They broke apart and Cadence rubbed her head on Sombra’s chin, burying her face into his neck and smelling his familiar scent. “I missed you.” She breathed. “As did I.” He growled. “I haven’t seen you in a while.” He added. “I know, I’m sorry, I’m just so worried that Shinning will find out..He’s been so distant lately..I think he’s on to us.” “He isn’t.” “How can you be so sure?” Cadence broke away from him and stared at him with worry in her piercing violet eyes. He stared back calmly, and answered slowly. “No one knows about us. We’re careful.” He nipped her ear. Cadence was silent for a moment, and didn’t not respond to any of Sombra’s affectionate nuzzles. “What if he finds us?” She whispered, looking around cautiously. “Don’t worry.” He muttered into her neck. “He won’t.” “I just don’t-“ “These moments we have together are precious. Let’s not waste another moment worrying.” Cadence took a deep breath and stared into Sombra’s calm eyes. Without saying a word, he reassured with his stare. She smiled and kissed him, and they were swept away in each other once more, letting the night determine how long they could be together until dawn arrived.

This is the second fake screenshot I’ve done (to see the first one, click <a 10…="" communities="" href="www.deviantart.com/kiwile3/art…>here), and it’s also my first entry for Saphi-Boo’s Ship’s Contest! Hopefully I can make more. This ship has actually grown on me, and I’ve decided to include it in my next gen, the Eternalverse. Sombra was found weak and near death high up in the crystal mountains by a patrol led by Shining Armor. They brought him back to the palace and took pity on him by nursing him back to health. Celestia ordered they try and reform him, and Cadence was assigned to the task given her title, The Princess of Love. Sombra was kept in a private room and was tied up, but Cadance would visit him every day. Sombra was angry to say the least but began to enjoy the daily visits he received from the pink princess. When he was trusted enough to be untied, he was allowed to wander the castle as he pleased. This is when Cadence and Sombra began to rendezvous in the palace escape room. Cadence was always worried Shining Armor would find out, but she could never get enough of her guilty pleasure. Don’t feel bad for Shinning Armor, because he’s also cheating on Cadence. But with who? Well that’s a story for another time. </p>
