Backstory:

Artbeat’s always been an artist. She’s been drawing constantly since the day she could hold a pencil in her mouth. Everyone in Ponyville enjoys her drawings and she’s made a living on selling art to the public. She specializes in drawing ponies, creatures, and the like, not landscapes or designs. But what not everpony knows is that she has an addiction to drawing gore. She has a morbid fascination with blood and guts and has crafted an entire line of art called “Creepy Ponies” which she hides from the ponies around her in fear that they will become terrified of her when they figure out how twisted her mind really is. Very few ponies have discovered her Creepy art – those few ponies who are Creepy themselves. And when they do find out about her… special talent, Artbeat’s Cutie Mark seems to change, becoming more like her art… (Her Cutie Mark does not physically change; it’s more like the pony’s perception of her Cutie Mark changes. Like a mind trick.)

Personality:

Artbeat’s a very creative and imaginative pony, always full of ideas – whether it’s a new idea for a picture or for something fun to do. She is stubborn and very egotistical to the point of proudly claiming herself to be her favorite pony in Equestria. She’s very proud of her art and believes it to be top notch. She’s an independent pony and she only keeps a few close friends, only opening up to those she truly trusts. Though she has a very sick mind when it comes to creating gory art, she would never actually hurt another pony. At any given time she tends to be one of two things – cute or creepy.
