Canterlot High’s soccer team is playing a match against Crystal Prep Academy one Saturday afternoon and Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie have both volunteered to be cheerleaders for the event. However, as they are chatting with each other before the game starts, Fluttershy admits to Pinkie that, while she is happy to help out, she is feeling rather nervous about performing enthusiastic, bombastic cheers in front of an entire crowd. Pinkie understands this, but assures her animal-loving friend that she has a way to make her feel more confident. When Fluttershy asks what she means by this, Pinkie simply pulls her to the side of the bleachers and explains that (using some techniques she learned in psychology class), she can hypnotize Fluttershy into being the ‘best cheerleader in all of Canterlot’. The yellow-skinned teen agrees to this, despite some concerns about letting her friend tamper with her mind. Excited, Pinkie pulls a gold pocket watch out of her skirt pocket and swings it in front of Fluttershy’s eyes as she guides her friend into a trance. Once Fluttershy has succumb to the hypnosis, Pinkie tells the shy girl that, whenever she hears her blow an airhorn, she will become an extremely peppy and enthusiastic cheerleader, adding that she’ll go back to normal when she hears the airhorn again. After the hypnotized Fluttershy agrees to this, Pinkie snaps her fingers to bring the yellow-skinned girl out of her trance with no memory of her trigger. Stowing the watch back in her pocket, the pink-skinned teen then leads her friend back out to the field to wait for the game to start….

Five minutes later, the match gets underway with Pinkie and Fluttershy watching from the sidelines, the latter remaining none the wiser about the trigger Pinkie has planted within her subconscious. However, the moment Pinkie blasts her airhorn to signal the start of the halftime show, Fluttershy’s hypnotic programming kicks in as she suddenly becomes the loudest, most energetic cheerleader anyone has ever seen, shouting loud cheers to the crowd through a bullhorn and doing backflips & cartwheels on the grass. In the midst of this, Pinkie simply watches in delight as Fluttershy embraces her new personality and contemplates keeping her animal-loving friend in this energetic state for another day or so just for fun…….
