Bernard Porter: And your power play, Sunset. Was it Cinch's idea? Wrong. Yours. You chose to act on darker urges. Rainbow chose virtue. A much wiser one. And why did you think she was lying? Wrong. More possibly, you're lying to yourself because you want to defend your pride. A certain emperor learn the hard way in a famous tale. The Emperor's New Clothes. Those two stories be proof on how arrogance and vanity can lead to trouble.
Sci-Twi: I'm growing older.

Bernard Porter: Precisely. You're changing. Both of you. I know. I went through exactly the same thing at your age. These are the years when a being changes into the one he or she is going to be for the rest of his or her life. Just be cautious who you two change into. Turning a blind eye can cause more harm. And you need to be ready when the danger comes. Remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
Sunset Shimmer: I see..... (annoyed) You think we're naive kids you can con.
Bernard Porter: I zero con. And I know I'm not your father--
Sci-Twi: [annoyed; snaps] Then stop pretending to be!
