The royal throne room was abuzz with negotiating ponies, two earth pony families fought over who had rights to the local river. It was far too shallow for both of them develop thus their bickering had eventually caught the attention of Princess Celestia. She brought both families to Canterlot in order to personally deal with the matter. Her regal figure sat upon the golden throne, her violet eyes watched the lips of the speaker. Occasionally she would shift in her seat to make a motion, allowing the other pony to speak their word. This certainly wasn’t the first time the princess had dealt with an issue as such nor would it be the last, at least an entire city wasn’t on the line.

There was a loud knock at the giant doors to the throne room. It echoed for a moment which made Celestia look up from her current task. The alicorn raised a hand to silence the speaker then her lips parted, sucking in air for her words.

“Enter,” She spoke with authority yet it rung with softness throughout the chamber. The door opened and a single guard stepped through the doors. His golden armor glistened in the chamber’s natural sun light.

“Princess Celestia, we found her,” The guard spoke, he bowed to one knee in honor the leader of the land. Celestia raised an eyebrow, a smirk formed across one cheek.

“Is that so…? Bring her here please,” The princess spoke, the guard nodded in response. Her gaze settled upon the earth ponies.

“I’m quite sorry but something has come up. My guards will lead you to your resting quarters. I will think upon both your statements and come to a conclusion tomorrow. Until then please rest and enjoy Canterlot,” Celestia smiled to her guests. The statement was followed by many ‘thank you’s and bowing. The princess motioned to her two guards at the entrance to escort the ponies away.

Only a handful of minutes later an unimpressive white unicorn was brought into the chamber flanked by two guards. She struggled, presumably the mare had run out of profanities by now. Despite her struggle the guards retained a firm grip on their captive’s arms.

“Thank you guards. You are dismissed,” Celestia spoke as she rose from her throne.

“Bu-” Both guards dropped the prisoner to the floor with a thud.

“I can handle what she throws at me,” Celestia cut the protesting guards off.

“Of course,” With a single bow they both left in perfect practiced unison. The massive door closed, yet not a sound was made. Celestia locked the doors with her magic then focused her attention on the prisoner. The white mare glare at the princess but the princess spoke before she could.

“It’s been some time hasn’t it… Chrysalis,” Celestia emphasized the final word which shocked the unicorn. “Surprised? I cannot blame you Changeling Queen but my sister’s dream walking betrayed you the moment you slept within my realm. No need to try anything brash, you’re no longer fueled by some of the strongest love in the land – you are hardly my equal now,” Celestia’s voice was harsh, true and powerful. Each word sent shivers down the Changeling Queen’s spine. She was alone with one of the most powerful beings in the realm. Yet if she could replace Celestia Equestria would be hers to rule! Despite these daring thoughts she found herself incapable of acting upon them. Step by step Celestia descended from her throne until at last she stood on the carpeted marble floor. The next words shocked Chrysalis however.

“There’s no need to be afraid… take your true form,” Celestia tenderly said, her expression was calm and affectionate towards the bug-like creature. With a nervous gulp the charade of a white unicorn was swallowed in green flickering flames. The carpet she stood on did not burn nor was the fire hot. As soon as it started the green inferno faded to the royal air. Now golden sunlight fell upon the onyx form of the Changeling queen. She looked up at Celestia, they stood not three feet from each other and it was clear that the eldest alicorn dwarfed Chrysalis.

Queen Chrysalis’ eyes took in every aspect of the regal ruler. Her mane flowed, swirling with color in an absent wind her tail did similar but slower. Princess Celestia rolled her shoulders as her noble robes came loose. The golden garment slipped down off her body to the floor exposing a much different Celestia. Indeed what stood before Chrysalis was very revealing, the reserved princess of the sun now wore garbs that draped over her huge bosom. Her mind raced for an answer but nothing came.

“I suggest you do the same before something unfortunate happens,” Celestia recommended to the Changeling. Almost mindlessly she obey and stripped off her clothing, kicking it to the side. It was cheap and allowed her disguised form to blend in with the people of Canterlot. Princess Celestia nodded slowly, her eyes scanned Chrysalis just as the Queen had done earlier to her own royal body.

“Mmm… I see, I see…” Celestia muttered, her prying eyes confirmed her suspicions. She stepped softly on the purple carpet making no noise, she returned to original position in front of Chrysalis. “Yes… I believe I know the right punishment for you now,“

“P-punishment!?” Chrysalis stumbled back, it wasn’t a surprise to her but the words hung in the air like a rotten apple’s scent. Celestia’s pleasing demeanor returned which lifted the air only slightly.

“Indeed but do not fear. You lack the endowment of a Queen, it’s not surprising your drones are going hungry. As such your mobility will be more limited and your invasion forgiven Chrysalis,” Princess Celestia spoke, her horn began to shine with alicorn magic.
