I just start thinking, may Sunny Starscout be related to Sunset Shimmer? I mean, it's not just they have similar sun-themed names and orange color and celestial cutie marks. Most importantly they are so far the only two characters who became artificial alicorns with those golden glowing magical and hologram-ish horns and wings? And (at least in G4) two earth ponies can have unicorn and pegasus children, so is it possible Sunny is actually Sunset's descendent?
