Description:
We've seen Opaline drain magic from a baby dragon. Imagine if she drained an adult one. What if the reason we don't see Spike in G5(despite dragons being immortal) is because Opaline drained him of his life and magic?
This is a very dark theory but it would explain why Twilight used such drastic measures like getting rid of magic all together.
