one of my patreons :devMiyaTheGoldenFlower: asked me who I ship Flash Sentry with on my requests post and now I have a whole story for this character I’ve never really thought of before…I originally just wanted to draw Flash for Miya since I know they love him but I kinda love this guy now so.

He’s a royal guard dropout, he was once a promising recruit who quickly succumbed to burnout during basic training. He loves music and playing guitar, along with singing.

Who do I ship him with? Well originally I was going to pair him with Sky Stinger and Spearhead but…after watching the episode with Fluttershy and the Pony Tones I thought why not pair him with Big Mac? The two definitely bonded over their love for music, maybe Flash came to a Pony Tones show and was entranced by the deep-voiced baritone…or maybe burnt out Flash takes a day job at Sweet Apple Acres, and Big Mac overhears him singing while he works. Maybe both…somehow. I just like the idea of two nervous singing boys in love.

I think Flash has a boyband-ish Justin Timberlake/Justin Bieber esque voice. Very pop-y, but unrefined since he’s never taken music as seriously as he wishes he had.

Before anyone can ask: yes I’ve already come up with an idea for their kid. Her name is Pear Jam (PJ for short) and she’s dumb but extremely lovable.

Honestly I used to dislike Flash as a character because all I ever saw him used for was a flat shipping partner for Twilight…but honestly now there are even some people who can make me enjoy Flash/Twi (usually the ones who include it as part of a polyship or when both of them have strong bisexual energies) and since he’s pretty much a blank slate of a character I figure why not have some fun with him especially if it makes one of my biggest, nicest supporters happy in the process XD
