This mainly applies to canon characters, but in general applies when
you take someone else’s character for your own purposes, making them
“out of character”.

It applies especially to political slogans. A character may hold
particular views similar to a movement’s goals, but different enough
that reciting their slogan verbatim is a bit odd.

Does not apply to the character reacting to situations or circumstances
they’re in; ie. Applejack in pro US troops WW2 posters, or a crippled
Fluttershy would clearly be pro wheelchair ramps. Do not confuse with
“artist interpretation” or “headcanon” images.
