How could Dusk Shine describe her?

Honestly, it was difficult putting her into words sometimes. In moments of waking from a deep sleep, in moments of weariness and fear, in moments of deep passion, Sunset Shimmer became less a person unto herself and more a collection of feelings, of sensations, responses and emotions that he could barely catalogue in spite of his knack for record keeping.

Some days she was light, explaining elements of magic and friendship that Dusk had never considered, illuminating his view of the world. Some days she was shadow, weaving mysterious chords of witchcraft and enchantment with her guitar as she played for him, dragging him into the deepest, darkest corners of her soul.

Some days, she was a scent in the dimly lit dorm room they shared, a heady, intoxicating aroma of cinnamon, whiskey, and magic that lured Dusk into a trance as she placed soft bites along his neck in the dead of night. Some days, she was a voice over the phone, deep and throaty, smoke and fire forged into a song as she coaxed him into sending her nude pictures.

Some days she was laughter, sweet and delicate in spite of her erotic voice, infecting Dusk with a gaiety only Pinkie Pie could match. Some nights she was sadness, clutching Dusk in a cold sweat and sobbing into his chest after a nightmare of her past, begging his forgiveness for what she did to him, never once realizing that every time she cried, his heart would shatter into innumerable shards that he only barely managed to hold together.

Sometimes she was power, forcing Dusk to his knees and demanding he worship her like the goddess he knew she was. Sometimes she was gentleness, nursing him back to health and fulfilling his every need and desire. Some days she was torment, grinding her thick, lascivious body on him and never, ever letting him finish. Some days she was ferocity, loving him like fire and brimstone until he could barely even think.

Some days Dusk wondered if she was real, and not some angel who had come to him, to protect him when he was trapped in a world he could not fathom. Some days she asked why he had forgiven her…if she was worth it.

Dusk would wrap her in his powerful arms and hold her on those days, just to keep her with him. Kiss her to silence her fears. Run his fingers through her hair to remind himself she wouldn’t just disappear.

For Dusk, Sunset was many things. But above all else…she was his life. For what is life but a collection of feelings, of sensations, responses and emotions? And what was Sunset…but the reason for all of them?
