...Maybe the other reason I liked writing the Discord and Tirek scenes was because I mainly only had to worry about two characters rather than seven. Somehow I've inflicted this extreme writing challenge on myself for the lion's share of eleven years.
Transcript:
DM: Alright, I'm back, so– Oh.
Twilight Sparkle: You got kind of loud out there a couple of times.
Rainbow Dash: Is everything going okay with Discord?
DM: Oh, yeah, we're fine. That was just... us getting really into the scene and hamming it up.
Pinkie Pie: Oh, so those were /fun/ roleplaying outbursts!
DM: Essentially, yeah. We know each other well, so we're pretty comfortable when we get into our roles.
Rainbow Dash: So... he was your first DM, right? And... that's the kind of roleplaying game you enjoyed with him?
DM: Yes, but also like... That's how I thought ALL RPGs were supposed to go. Then I tried it on you guys, and...
Twilight Sparkle: It ended up being kind of a mismatch.
Applejack: Hey, at least that's the exact kinda thing we're here to reconcile today. Sounds like we're still on-track.
Fluttershy: And it sounds like he's engaged and having fun, too. ^Time to see if we can stick the landing...^
DM: ...Wait, were you all eavesdropping?
Rarity: Nnnoooooo... Okay, I was tempted! But I couldn't think of a way to justify that meta-info.
DM: Gee, thanks.
